The REHIS Introduction to Food Hygiene Course is designed principally for new food handlers before being allowed to start work for the first time. The syllabus aims to raise awareness of key food hygiene issues in the food industry. The course will also meet the requirements for induction training for other staff who are not food handlers, for example, nurses, porters, care assistants and kitchen support staff.

A short test is included which can be used to check understanding and a certificate of attendance will be issued on completion.
This qualification is aimed at those with limited or no prior experience of planning and delivering training. It is intended for candidates with vocational expertise or subject knowledge whose job role includes the training of others in small group settings and in work-related learning contexts. It is also suitable for those who aspire to a training role, or who expect to have some responsibility for training as part of a future job role.
We run courses in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dumfries or at other locations by arrangement.
The DG Training Introduction to First Aid Course is designed to create a basic understanding of First Aid. It gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies they could encounter.
The course is highly-interactive and gives delegates the hands-on experience to successfully deliver emergency first aid.
Learners must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
A minimum of 12 guided learning hours are required for the Paediatric First Aid Course. The first part of this blended-learning course is completed online before candidates attend the tutor-led classroom based part where the practical activities and assessments will be carried out. This can be held over 1 full-day session or 2 half-day or evening sessions.
Learners must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
The assessment for this course comprises of two parts; a practical assessment and a multiple-choice examination. On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate which will last for three years.
