Emergency Paediatric First Aid

This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to enable them to provide effective emergency paediatric first aid. It is intended for learners who care for children in a professional setting such as pre-school or nursery staff, toddler group volunteers, childminders and nannies, au pairs and foster parents, or anyone who may have to deliver first aid to babies or children.

The course is highly-interactive and gives delegates the hands-on experience to successfully deliver emergency first aid in a real-life situation.

Learners must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.

Guided Learning Hours

A minimum of 6 guided learning hours are required for this course.

Form of Assessment

The assessment for this course comprises of two parts; a practical assessment and a multiple-choice examination. On successful completion of this course, you will receive an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate which will last for three years.

  • Provide first aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
