SQA Scottish Certificate For Safe Sale and Service of Alcohol – SCQF Level 5

The SQA Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders Refresher is designed for those who already hold a Scottish Personal Licence. All Personal Licence Holders must carry out this mandatory training within the 5-year period of issue of their Personal Licence. The qualification meets the requirements of the legislation Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.

The course is designed to be completed over 3 hours online learning. Candidates are issued with the course handbook and log in details for the online course. On completion of the course, arrangements will be made for the exam.

There is a single examination for this certificate comprising of 40 multiple-choice questions. The exam can be invigilated virtually over Zoom or MS Teams or face-to-face. The duration of the examination is 60 minutes.  Certificates will be awarded to those candidates who achieve 28 marks or more.  Candidates who score 27 marks or below will be given the opportunity to re-sit the examination.
