This package is suitable for those wishing to get into the Childcare sector or for those who are already working in the industry but who would like to progress by gaining formal qualifications. It is also suitable for those who are working in Family Visitor Attractions.

The log in details for the Food Safety in Catering Level 2 qualification will be emailed to candidates on booking. Candidates will attend the classroom-based Paediatric Emergency First Aid course.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course

Guided Learning Hours

A minimum of 6 guided learning hours are required for this course.

Form of Assessment

The assessment for this course comprises of two parts; a practical assessment and a multiple-choice examination. On successful completion of this course, you will receive an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate which will last for three years.

  • Role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider
  • Assessing an emergency situation safely
  • Provide first aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and breathing normally
  • Provide first aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
  • Choking
  • External bleeding
  • Shock
  • Bites, stings and minor injuries

Guided Learning Hours

Approximately 75 minutes are required for this course.

Form of Assessment

A short test concludes each module. A passmark of 75% for each module is required to successfully pass the course.
