This course is aimed at anyone in the workplace that uses machinery. This could include site supervisors or managers.
This short course provides you with an introduction to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, otherwise known as PUWER.
The course starts by explaining the purpose of PUWER, and then turns to look at the types of equipment that fall under this legislation. This is followed by an explanation as to the responsibilities both employers and employees have under the regulations.
Next, the course explores the common hazards associated with the use of work equipment; before moving on to look at different methods of guarding available to keep you safe from injury.
Finally, the course explores the requirements with respect to equipment inspection and maintenance under the regulations.
Approximately 40 minutes are required for this course.
A short test concludes each module. A passmark of 70% for all modules is required to successfully pass the course.

Current legislation, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, applies to all workplaces regardless of the number of employees and requires employers to provide adequate training in fire awareness for all members of their staff.
Our online fire safety training course is aimed at all employees working in care homes to assist them in identifying and reducing the risk that fire presents in the workplace. The REHIS Introduction to Food Hygiene Course is designed principally for new food handlers before being allowed to start work for the first time. The syllabus aims to raise awareness of key food hygiene issues in the food industry. The course will also meet the requirements for induction training for other staff who are not food handlers, for example, nurses, porters, care assistants and kitchen support staff.

This Introduction to the Safe Handling of Medicines course will start by explaining the key terminology used when handling medicines. It then goes into detail about the roles of the people involved, some of the different groups of medicines, providing different levels of support to patients, infection control, label interpretation and much more.
